Today we would like to teach you about the framework of a tooth. The different parts of your tooth include the:
-Crown: The crown is the section of the tooth that is visible in the mouth, which includes the front, top, and back surfaces.
-Enamel: The enamel is the hard outer layer of the tooth. It acts as a shell and it protects the tooth from decay and other dental issues.
-Dentin: The dentin is the hard tissue that is located beneath the enamel. The dentin is a natural yellow color and it tends to make the smile dull if the enamel wears away.
-Pulp chamber: The pulp chamber is the section inside the tooth that holds the nerve and blood vessels. It’s important to keep this part healthy and strong because if it ever gets infected, it is extremely painful.
-Root: The root is the part of the tooth that lies inside the bone socket. The root holds the tooth in place and it clings to the jaw bone.
